Isis: Sewing the Pieces into the Whole

Isis, the Egyptian goddess of healing, is especially known for her role is saving her husband, Osiris. When their brother, Seth, killed Osiris, he dismembered him and scattered the pieces throughout the world, to keep Isis from bringing Osiris back to life. Isis traveled the world, collecting all the pieces, to make Osiris whole again. In this piece, I explored the idea of healing and becoming whole, representing the Isis story
with the organs and body parts that have plagued the health of me and my family.
