Marina Tower

28"x 35.5"  Brushed Aluminum.

One of the Marina City towers, probably my favorite building in Chicago. The shape, the repeated patterns, the concrete - I love it.

When they were built in the late 1960's the towers were the world’s tallest residential buildings.

The piece is created from my original photograph and digitally colored. It is printed on brushed aluminum, highlighting the tower’s gorgeous, repeated patterns.

The bold pink was chosen to contrast with the stark grey concrete.
