Marina Towers

110 x 55cm  Brushed Aluminum.

The Marina City towers - probably my favourite building in Chicago. I just love love love them - the shape, the repeated patterns, the concrete. When they were completed in the late 1960's the towers were the tallest reinforced concrete structures in the world. This piece is created from my original photograph and digitally coloured. The image is printed on brushed aluminum, which brings out the colours and gives it an etched appearance.
